DALLAS CITY HOMES
In 1989, a group of local leaders recognized the need to positively transform disinvested neighborhoods and preserve housing affordability. For over 30 years, Dallas City Homes has acquired rental properties in some of the most distressed areas of Dallas and converted those properties into safe, vibrant rental communities with good housing. DCH has developed or preserved the affordability of more than 2,400 apartments and participated in the construction, renovation or development of more than 350 homes for sale. DCH partners with local organizations, businesses, and national entities to support progressive housing policies that create healthy and sustainable communities.

These improvements will bring new life to the Hillburn Hills community. The newly renovated community center will be the home of a beautiful multi-purpose/flex space (for seminars, workshops, and classes), a computer lab, telehealth pods, and a space for a food pantry.

-
Invests in the sustainability of our lab by covering emergency expenses such as lab equipment repairs, essential technology updates/upgrade fees, and antivirus costs. This ensures our residents have access to the tools they need to grow and thrive.
-
Funds classroom materials to administer the educational and wellness workshops for our residents (whiteboards, projector, etc.). These resources ignite opportunities for learning and empowerment.
-
Provides funds for general operating expenses and for resources needed for our Neighborhood Capacity Building Partners to bring awareness and support our communities. This level ensures that Dallas City Homes can continue to connect residents with the resources they need for success.

Lastly, your donations will go toward the development of community programs that will allow every resident to succeed.EQUITY STATEMENT
For over 30 years, Dallas City Homes(DCH) has been committed to supplying affordable housing and housing opportunities for economically disadvantaged and marginalized communities. As a leader in the real estate industry, we understand that diversity must be celebrated and encouraged in order to see the true fullness of a community. While we are aware of the injustices that members of our Black and Brown communities face, our efforts to remain diverse and equitable expand beyond the walls of DCH. As an owner and developer, we partner with neighborhood organizations, businesses, and national entities to support progressive housing policies to create healthy and sustainable communities. It is our continued belief that inclusion in all sectors of our business and most importantly in housing is not only (good for business) but a necessary step in ensuring racial equity in housing in Dallas. As a nonprofit organization, we have remained committed to our mission of ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to succeed. To date, DCH has developed or preserved the affordability of more than 2,400 apartments and participated in the construction, renovation or development of more than 350 homes. Our goal is to ensure that we apply an equity lens in all that we do, from strategic planning to development. Our (racial) equity commitments are rooted in inclusion, access, and economic sustainability, and are discussed below.1. Inclusion/Engage- DCH is committed to creating inclusive housing communities that welcome everyone and prohibits any discriminatory practices. DCH will create community centers and other resident services to encourage residents to engage with their local community.2. Access/Inspire- DCH is committed to providing tools and resources on how ownership is attainable in Black and Brown communities. Access to information has the power to alter the trajectory of someone's life.3. Education/Economic Stability- DCH understands that housing is the first step to gaining economic stability. DCH will provide classes, programs, and other services surrounding housing and best financial practices. Our collective future requires that all of us - as individuals and families, partners, communities, small businesses and large companies, - commit to advance racial and social justicefighting racism in all its forms. We ask you to join us on this journey as we continue to create housing opportunities for communities across Dallas.
